Tamil superstar Rajnikant's
Shivaji is lived up to the media hype. It is setting new
records as per as box-office collections are concerned.
The first four days collections of the Telugu version
are awesome. It took unprecedented openings for a dubbed
movie.
2.75 Crores in 4 days
In Nizam the film was released by Pyramid Samaira (it is
their first film in Andhra Pradesh) in about 90
theatres. 42 theatres alone are in Hyderabad. And for
the first four days it had collected Rs 2.75 Crores.
Chandramukhi's Nizam share was Rs 2.65 Crores for 100
days. Shivaji crossed that amount in just four days.
That is the phenomenal business that Shivaji doing,€
Rammohan Rao, COO, Pyramid Samaira, told us.
He expects it to collect Rs 3.75 to 4 Crores (Share) in
Nizam for the first week. If it collects that amount, it
is sure going to be a record. No Telugu film collected a
share of Rs 4 Crores in Nizam so far in the first week
itself.
Traditionally, Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan are the
kings of Nizam area. Their films collect in big way in
the area. Recently Mahesh€™s films (Pokiri and
Sainikudu) are also doing phenonomenal business in Nizam
but Shivaji is surprising everyone.
