Experience 1
Koooool....
Thatz what we can simply say after seeing the crowd in
the SFX Cine Complex - Theater 15 in these 2 days. Not
only
Tamilians, but also a lot of north Indians, Thai,
Japanese, and surprisingly some Europeans.
Sivaji...Super Star Rajini's latest
mega super hit movie got released here on 30th June and
1st July. The 700 seater SFX 15 cinema never got
these much audience before, the theater people
say.
On the first day the show was HOUSE FULL.
Even about 30 to 40 tickets were over booked
and they've got seats on the walk way in the middle
which brings us the good olden our mother country
theater memories.
The crowd, the sound, the music, whistling,
screaming, etc..etc.. are all new to the Thais.
They're already familiar with 007, Jackie, even the Tom
Yum Goong hero... But they never seen these kind of
experience in Bangkok same like Sivaji. So
Rajinikanth has not only broken south and north india
divide. But also the world boundaries.
This is the 3rd Tamil Movie ever screened in Thailand.
The first one was Jeans (Directed by
Mr. Shankar - the same director of 'Sivaji'). The second
one was 'Kandukondaen Kandukondaen'.
And this 'Sivaji' is the 3rd one. But those 2 movies
were screend in small theatres and only one show. But 'Sivaji'
screened in big seating capacity theater and 2 shows and
almost both the shows were heavily crowded.
On the 2nd day I've seen a lot of repeated fans
(including me ;)

Experience 2
Well There are only few
instances in your life when you would experience the
nerve breaking excitement & joy - like the childhood
Diwali days with the fire crackers - like the first time
your heart opened for a girl - like you first month pay
cheque - like the first kiss. There were millions on
people with that same feeling , eyes at the calendar for
15th June. Its not Diwali or Christmas or New year . Its
the Opening day of "Sivaji " . Well most of them wont
understand why the Tamilians (Well Now There are lots of
rajni fans who are not Tamilians) are so crazy for
Rajnikanth , There are so many actors who look better ,
who acts better but why then Rajnikanth ? ? ? Its not a
million dollar question the answer is very simple ,
Rajnikanth is not just an actor he is way of life for
most of the Tamils. He is the only person on the screen
who can make you forget your worries and relax in your
fantasy world. He has this magnetic field in eyes which
pulls many of us in to him . Well for the people who
don't feel that magnetic field, I am sorry pity you
guys.........
So Sivaji rocked the world from 15th June and we in
Bangkok were counting stars and the utter disappointment
when your family and the friends all over the world
watched it and calls you and bhla...bhla ...about the
movie. You feel so bad you wanna fly to Singapore or
Malaysia to watch the movie. But how many of them can do
that . At last the big news came in "Sivaji " would be
screen in Bangkok on the 30th June and 1st July . I
don't know who is in charge of getting the movie to
Bangkok , but I would like to say my sincere thanks to
him for fulfilling the dreams of hundreds.
Got a ticket went couple of hours early (too excited) to
the Mall where the movie would be shown, had something
to bite and back to the entry to the movie hall
...........whow.......whats that!!!! is there any pop
star coming in or anyone chipping in some freebies. huge
massive no of people. I have never seen that kind of
crowd anywhere in any mall in Thailand. Well then I
realised one thing !!!!!!!! that I am not
alone..........
The movie was delayed for a while but who cares ...the
excitement to Rajni is growing higher and higher by the
seconds . then came in the surprising trailer of "Sultan
" The crowd went crazy , they were whistling , cheering
, that's something new for movie goers in Thailand ,
Then the actually movie started the decibel levels was
so high that any device to calculate the cheering and
applause would have been broken . Well I don't have to
tell so much about the movie as you would have seen or
heard but I just have one thing to say about the
movie...
Sivaji ? Chumma Adhirudhulla...
best wishes
