Superstar Rajinikanth, director A R Murugadoss and producer Subashkaran of Lyca International were present on the occasion.as the makers revealed on Tuesday, April 9. Today, Murugadoss took to Twitter to unveil the pictures saying the shoot starts today with a pooja, which was held in Mumbai.

The first look of the flick, released yesterday. indicates that it could be a cop film.

This is the first tie-up between Rajinikanth and Murugadoss.

Music is by Anirudh, his successive outing with the superstar after the successful Petta.

The movie also stars Nayantara as the leading lady and is being produced by Lyca Productions.

Darbar is said to hit the screens during Pongal 2020.
