i like AB, but not as much as thalaivar.

12 B padathil varum kadhai pola thaan indha iru nadigargal kadhai endru kooralaam. Once both of them were on the same level - both had huge mass following, people were willing to do anything to see them, when Amithabh was hurt in a shooting almost entire India was praying for his recovery.
Exactly like in 12 B, after a particular time these 2 actors ways parted (Please note - the two were still good friends and liked each other's talents - only the type of movie roles changed).
After continued movies like Laawaris, Deewar, Hum, Ajooba, Mukkadar ka Siqandar, Don finally AB started to shift from the angry young man protagonist roles. He went in with ABCL and suffered huge losses in producing movies - it is worthy to note Simran was in one of ABCL's movies Tere Mere Sapney as a debutant actress.
After suffering losses AB also tried his hand in politics - once again burnt himself.
Thalaivar the BOSS was also reluctant to do similar roles - it is very famous how KB and Kamal Hassan had to almost forcibly pull him back into acting.
With God's grace and his own spiritual thoughts, he continued where AB left. Baadsha was similar to Hum with modifications made to suit Rajini's style and charisma - in Hum AB was the central character but we found much footage for Govinda and Rajini too. But Baadsha was fully Rajini - since we all know Thalaivar appeals so much more to his fans than any other actor.
So, like in the movie 12 B these two could be considered as one person who parted and lived life in two different ways - AB went into production

It is a perfect and good comparison.
Even Rajini himself have accepted that many time that Amitabh is his Role model
No one can be like our Thalaivar..that is thalaivar...
