After a gap of 3 years Rajnikant is back in films. He is currently acting in a film in the direction of P Vasu. This film is a remake of Malayalam film. This film is currently being canned in Tamil with the title 'Chandramukhi'. Rajnikant, Prabhu, Jyothika and Nayana Tara are playing main leads. P Vasu who directed blockbusters like Mannan and Padayappa with Rajnikant is directing this film. Vidya Sagar provides music. Sekhar V Joseph handles camera. Suresh Urs edits this film. Film financier S Ramesh Babu presents this film. G Pardha Sarathy and Karunakaran Reddy produce this film on Lakshmi Narasimha Productions and SRS Films.

Pooja of this film was performed today at Prasad Labs. Venkatesh and D Rama Naidu were invited as guests. Rajnikant, Prabhu, Nayana Tara and director P Vasu graced this occasion along with the producers G Pardha Sarathy, Karunakar Reddy & S Ramesh Babu.

Director P Vasu said that it has a new type of story. Rajnikant is playing the role of a different psychiatrist. This film would have six songs.

Hero Rajnikant said that he makes sure that each and every film of him is different from others. But the film Baba failed because there was an overdose of spirituality. This film would be an out and out commercial entertainer and at the same time it is a different film. Each and every character in this film has an important role to play. The role played by Jyothika in this film would have double the impact of 'Neelambari' character in Narasimha film. The storyline inspired Rajnikant. He said that this film would do wonders at box office. When asked why he is stilling acting in movies after announcing that he would stop acting after BABA, Rajnikant said that he is acting in films because Baba was a flop. He is feeling happy work with Sivaji productions that entered in 50 years of film production.

Hero Prabhu said that he grew up with Venkatesh, Nagarjuna and Bala Krishna in his childhood days and shares a special bond with Telugu film industry. He is feeling fortunate to work with Rajnikant.

Heroine Nayana Tara said that she is feeling lucky to act with south Indian superstar Rajnikant. She is doing a homely character in that film.

Producer Karunakaran said that this film would be releasing in Telugu and Tamil simultaneously on 14th April 2005. Sets are been erected in Ramoji Film City and most of the shoot would happen there. Producer G Pardha Sarathy said that this film has four important characters of Rajnikant, Prabhu, Jyothika & Nayana Tara.
