CM 804th day function is mind-blowing and amazing. As usual Superstar stole the show.

The tale of getting inside the function hall

Normally invitations would be easily available for Kollywood functions. But if the news leaks out that Superstar would be attending that function ? You know the invitation used to be sold in black for 500 or more rupees. This time Chief Minister is attending and Kamal too. Then imagine the demand.

Function was started exactly at 6 PM. One hour film show of scenes which was taken for Chandramukhi but not used in the movie.

The arrangements was strict and nobody without invitation was allowed inside the venue. Since Chief Minister also participates, the police took over the venue into their custody and there was tight security.

Whenever Superstar's name was spelt, the whole auditorium burst into whistles and claps. Superstar was quite good as usual in pyjama kurda. AVM Saravanan, KRG, Ramanarayanan, Kamal, K Balachander and others were presented in the dais along with Superstar and Kalaignar. (Kalaignar was ofter seen chatting with Superstar and he rarely turned towards Kamal)

What he said: I can see the map of India in Superstar's name. Even Big B has showered praises on him and said that Rajni is the true emperor. Whenever Rajni fans meet me at various occasions, their face would become bright. I thought that it is after seeing me. But later I understood that they are not brightened by face. But they are seeing Superstar image first in my face and it appears for a minute and then vanishes. So all the respect is for Rajni not me.

During Apporva Raaagangal 0 th day function in 1975 which was held under then CM Kalaignar ? he distributed shields to everybody. But due to some urgent commitments Kalaignar was not able to continue the same and the rest shield were distributed by AV Meyiaapa Chettiar. Superstar that time felt very much bad for missing the opportunity of getting shield from Chief Minister. Now his dream has come true after 32 years. Same persons but different situation.

If victory of CM has father it should be no other than this (audiences shouted Sivaji Rao)

The movie's impact is that much. Even it has found a slot in BBC Top .

I predicted the success of Chandramukhi during the preview show itself at Shanthi theatre prior one day before release of CM. It turned true.

Superstar's split personality - P Vasu's speech is really excellent

What Vasu said, "Rajini sir used to call me 0 day, 200th day, 300th day and said each time, "Vasu your film has entered 0 th day today and ur film has entered 200th day today like this. He never said my film. Even today he called me and said your film has entered 800 th day today. Such is humbleness. He also asked me to call Kamal sir to the function so as to give a respect to his good old friend.

They are not poles. They are one person with two bodies. Both Rajni and Kamal are same. You know why they decided to act separately? When both of them acting together only one producer got benefited. Now two producers are getting benefits from them since they act separately. A wise decision long back itself without ego.

This film would have touched 0 or 200 300 day running even without Rajini. But this 800 day + running is only because of Superstar, Superstar alone.

Moreover he is the true Chandramukhi. He is the split personality. Just look him now. Would u believe that this is the man who acted in Sivaji? (Superstar's face was shown close-up in the screen)

Don't go amidst the game leaving me alone- Kamal spoke simply superb

What he said: "I am very much happy to be present in this auspicious function. Rajini is my brother, pal, companion, and Competitor too.

Our friendship is a good example for others. We don't allow third person to come between us and spin yarn. We are maintaining safer distance and enough nearness. We wanted to be like this and we are like this. It is no wonder because we have been brought up by K B sir. Participating in this function is not proud but it is my duty. This is my function. I doubt whether any function like this would be held in future. But Rajini can. Now after tasting stupendous success , he would say , ENOUGH KAMAL. I GO. I used to ask What Rajini? How is it leaving me alone in the carom board to play? He will stay again. This is happening for the past 20 years. Our friendship is for our soul. And our acting is for business. Take whatever u want the way."

Am ready to produce his next film too. Enna Annae readya? Naan ready?.( A big laughter from audience followed by claps.)

This film success mainly because of Rajini fans. Thank u friends for all of ur patron. (The auditorium went thunderous claps and whistling.)

It is humble and modesty the reason behind Superstar's success - Kalaignar

Kalaignar spoke finally. He said that he was eagerly waiting for this opportunity to share the day with Chandramukhi unit. And rewinded his talk with Ramkumar when Sivaj statue was unveiled.

நான் சந்திரமுகியை இன்றுதான் பார்த்தேன். அதற்கு வேறு காரணம் எதுவும் இல்லை. யாரும் படத்தைப் பார்க்க என்னைப் படம் பார்க்க க ;ப்பிடவில்லை. அதுதான் காரணம்.

இருந்தாலும் என்றாவது ஒரு நாள் க ;ப்பிடுவார்கள் என்ற நம்பிக்கையுடன் இருந்தேன். காரணம், இந்தப் படம் ஒரு நாளோடு அல்லது ஒரு வாரத்தோடு முடிந்து விடும் வகையிலான படம் அல்ல, வருடக் கணக்கில் ஓடக் க ;டிய படம். அதனால்தான் இந்தப் படத்தைப் பார்க்க இத்தனை காலம் காத்திருந்தேன். எனது நம்பிக்கை வீண் போகவில்லை.

இன்று சந்திரமுகியைப் பார்த்தேன், அனுபவித்துப் பார்த்தேன். படத்தில் நடித்துள்ள ஒவ்வொருவரும் படத்திற்காக நிறைய உழைத்துள்ளனர், பங்களித்துள்ளனர். ச ;ப்பர் ஸ்டாரைப் பற்றி சொல்லவேத் தேவையில்லை. கதையின் சக்தியே அவர்தான்.

நமது பிரதமர் மன்மோகன் சிங், ரஜினிகாந்த்தைப் பாராட்டிப் பேசியதை இங்கு நினைவு க ;ருகிறேன். ஜப்பான் நாடாளுமன்றத்தில் அவர் பேசும்போது, இந்தியாவில் மட்டும் ரஜினிகாந்த் சக்தி வாய்ந்த நடிகர் அல்ல, ஜப்பானிலும் க ;ட அவருக்கு பெரும் செல்வாக்கு இருக்கிறது என்றார். அவரது பேச்சைக் கேட்டபோது நான் மிகுந்த மகிழ்ச்சி அடைந்தேன்.

ரஜினியின் வெற்றியின் ரகசியம் என்ன? அவரது ஸ்டைலா, அருமையான நடிப்புத் திறமையா, தொழில் தர்மம் மீறாத குணமா?. இவை எல்லாவற்றையும் விட அவரது எளிமைதான் ரஜினியின் வெற்றிக்கு முக்கியக் காரணம்.

எப்போது அவர் வெற்றிகளைக் கண்டு அகம் குளிர்ந்து போய் ஆடியதில்லை. இந்தப் படத்தின் முழு வெற்றிக்கும் முதல் காரணம் ரஜினிதான் என்பது அனைவருக்கும் தெரியும். ஆனால் அவர் அதை பெரிதுபடுத்தி நடந்து கொண்டதில்லை. அவரது குணத்தால் மக்களின், ரசிகர்களின் நெஞ்சங்ளில் நிரந்தரமான இடத்தைப் பிடித்து வைத்துள்ளார். இவைதான் ரஜினியின் வெற்றி ரகசியம்.

கடந்த 20 வருடங்களாக எனக்கும் ரஜினிக்கும் இடையே ஆத்மார்த்தமான நட்பு நிலவி வருகிறது. ஆனால் எல்லா நேரங்களிலும் அதை நாங்கள் வெளிப்படுத்திக் கொண்டதில்லை. எப்போதாவது மின்னல் போல அது வெளிப்படும். ஆனால் எங்களின் நட்புறவு உறுதியானது, சக்தி வாய்ந்தது.

இந்திய வரலாற்றில் ம ;ன்று சிவாஜிகள் உண்டு. ஒருவர் மராட்டிய மாவீரன் சாம்ராட் சிவாஜி. இந்தியாவின் துணிச்சலை, உலகுக்கு உணர்த்தியவர் இந்த மராட்டிய மாவீரன்.

இன்னொருவர் நம்முடைய நடிகர் திலகம் சிவாஜி. இந்திய சினிமாவின் முன்னோடிகளில் ஒருவர். ம ;ன்றாவது சிவாஜி நமது ச ;ப்பர் ஸ்டார் 'சிவாஜி' ரஜினி. இந்தியத் திரையுலகின் சக்கரவர்த்தியாக திகழ்கிறார் ரஜினி. இந்திய வரலாற்றிலும் தனது பெயரை உறுதியாக பதித்து விட்டார்.

உலக அரங்கில் இந்திய சினிமாவின் முகமாக ரஜினி திகழ்கிறார் என்பதை இங்கு மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் சொல்லிக் கொள்ள விரும்புகிறேன்.

ரஜினி மாபெரும் மனிதர். அனைத்து நல்ல குணங்களும் அவரிடம் உள்ளன. தவறு செய்யாத, தவறு செய்யத் துணியாத நபர் ரஜினி. அவரிடமிருந்து நிறைய கற்றுக் கொள்ளளாம். சிவாஜி படத்திற்கு உள்ள ;ரிலும் வெளிநாடுகளிலும் கிடைத்துள்ள வரவேற்பு குறித்து வெளியாகும் செய்திகளை நான் விடாமல் படித்து வருகிறேன்.

ச ;ப்பர் ஸ்டார் ரஜினியின் சிவாஜியை முதலில் பார்த்து ரசித்தவன் நான் தான் என்பதில் எனக்குப் பெருமை. சிவாஜி புதிய உச்சத்தை அடைய வேண்டும் என வாழ்த்துகிறேன் என்றார் கருணாநிதி.

(Again the whole hall reverberated with claps and whistles and thalaivaaa sounds and it was a tough task for Sathy sir who was inside there to make it settle. Superstar could not speak for a while. But he was very patient)

இப்படி ஒரு விழா இனிமேல் எனது வாழ்க்கையில் நடக்குமா என்பது சந்தேகம்தான். ஹரிதாஸ் வந்து 52 வருடங்கள் கழித்து சந்திரமுகி இந்த சாதனையைச் செய்துள்ளது. இது மிகப் பெரிய சாதனைதான்.

அதிலும், இந்த சரித்திர விழாவில் முதல்வர் கருணாநிதி அவர்கள் வந்திருந்த வாழ்த்துவது, மிக மிக சந்தோஷமாக இருக்கிறது. எனது குருநாதர் கே.பாலச்சந்தர் வந்து வாழ்த்தியுள்ளார். நான் யாரைப் பார்த்து வளர்ந்தேனோ, அந்த நண்பர், சக நடிகர் கமல்ஹாசன் வந்து வாழ்த்தியதும் சந்தோஷம்.

சந்திரமுகி இத்தனை நாட்கள் ஓடியது ஏன் என்று நினைத்துப் பார்க்கிறேன். அந்தப் படத்தை குருநாதர் பாலச்சந்தர் அருகில் அமர்ந்துதான் பார்த்தேன். படம் பார்த்து முடியும் வரை அவர் பேசவே இல்லை. ஒன்றும் சொல்லவில்லை. படம் முடிந்ததும், அவருடைய இரும்புத் தடியை எடுத்து என்னைத் தட்டிக் கொடுத்து பென்டாஸ்ட்டிக் என்றார். அப்போதே எனக்கு குளிர் விட்டுப் போய் விட்டது.

சந்திரமுகியின் கதை புதிது, சீன்கள் புதிது, ச ;ழல் புதிது. படத்தில் புதுமை இருக்க வேண்டும் என்று மக்கள் நினைக்கிறார்கள். அது சந்திரமுகியில் இருந்தது. நட்பு, குரோதம், காதல் என எல்லாமே இருந்தது.

படத்தில் வேட்டையன் வேடத்தை முதலில் பெரிதாக திட்டமிட்டிருந்தனர். ஆனால் படத்தில் நீளம் பிரச்சினையாக இருந்தது. வேட்டையன் சீன்களை வைத்தால் சந்திரமுகியை மக்கள் மறந்து விடுவார்கள் என்று வாசு க ;றினார்.

ஆனால் பிரபு வேட்டையன் சீன்கள்தான் வேண்டும், மற்ற சீன்களை எல்லாம் த ;க்குங்கப்பா என்று க ;றினார். அப்போது ராம்குமார் குறுக்கிட்டு, இல்லை பிரபு, வேட்டையன் சீன்களைத் த ;க்கி விடலாம் என்றார். அதை பிரபு அப்படியே ஏற்றுக் கொண்டார்.

அண்ணனுக்கு அவர் கொடுத்த மரியாதை அது. அந்த வீட்டில் எப்படி அண்ணன், தம்பியை வளர்த்திருக்கிறார்கள் பாருங்கள்.

வாசு இது ரஜினி படம் என்றார். இது உங்கள் படம், நீங்கள்தான் இதற்குத் தாய், தயாரிப்பாளர்கள்தான் தந்தை, இந்த படத்தில் நான் நடித்தேன் என்ற பாக்கியம் போதும்.

சந்திரமுகி படம் உருவானபோது, இது சரியா வராதுப்பா என்று பலரும் க ;றினர். ஒரு கதை உண்டு. ஒரு பெரிய மலை. அதில் ம ;ன்று தவளைகள் இருந்தன. மலையின் வழி நெடுக பாம்பு, தேள்கள் இருக்கின்றன. போகாதே என்று பயம் காட்டினார்கள்.

ஒரு தவளை 0 அடி ஏறியதும் விழுந்து விட்டது. இன்னொரு தவளை 300 அடி ஏறியதும் விழுந்தது. இன்னொரு தவலை மட்டும் மலை உச்சியைத் தொட்டது.

அந்தத் தவளைக்கு காது கேட்காது. அது மாதிரிதான் ரஜினிக்கும் காது கேட்காது. இது சிவாஜி, என்.டி.ஆர், கலைஞர் போன்றவர்களிடம் நான் கற்றுக் கொண்டது.

பேசுகிறவர்கள் பேசட்டும், வாழ்க்கையில் சில மனிதர்கள் மத்தியில் செவிடாகி விட வேண்டும். அப்பதான் சாதிக்க முடியும். இல்லைன்னா வாழ்க்கை வீணாகி விடும் என்றார் ரஜினி.

It again took few minutes for the claps to settle down. Overall, a good and remarkable and unforgettable function for the legendary movie from Legendary Sivaji productions.
