He explained that director Nelson's requirement was simple — the song had to sound good and fit the situation. The words did not necessarily have to carry literal meaning.

That explains why trying to decode every word may not lead anywhere.

The idea was to create a particular sound and vibe, while retaining a Kerala-inspired flavour for the setting. Some actual Malayalam words and phrases are used, but much of the song is deliberately built around sound rather than meaning.

Arunraja also clarified that there was no intention to offend or disrespect the Malayalam language or its speakers.

A Familiar Approach from the Nelson–Anirudh World

Arunraja Kamaraj compared this approach to songs where the sound and rhythm of the words become more important than their literal meaning.

He referred to the playful lyrical approach used in songs such as ‘Kabiskabaa’ from Kolamaavu Kokila, while also mentioning the flavour associated with Kaavaalaa.
