Soundarya Rajinikanth recently interacted with the media and shared several interesting updates about Thalaivar Rajinikanth, including Jailer 2, his autobiography and the future of Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam.
Jailer 2: Thalaivar Has Worked Harder
Talking about Jailer 2, Soundarya said she is eagerly waiting to watch the film and revealed that Rajinikanth has worked even harder for the sequel than he did for the first Jailer.
She also praised Anirudh and his music for the film.
Jailer 2 is scheduled for worldwide release on October 15, 2026.
Thalaivar’s Autobiography
Soundarya revealed that Rajinikanth is currently writing his autobiography.
She described his life story as being like the Bhagavad Gita, Ramayana and Mahabharata, considering the incredible journey Thalaivar has experienced.
She wants Rajinikanth to complete and publish the autobiography first. Only afterwards would the family consider adapting his life story into a web series.
Regarding suggestions that Rishikanth could portray Rajinikanth, Soundarya said it is too early to discuss casting.
What Will Happen to Raghavendra Mandapam?
Soundarya also confirmed that the iconic Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam in Kodambakkam, which has been associated with Thalaivar for around 36 years, will not continue in its present form.
She explained that Rajinikanth believes things have to change with the times. The family is discussing what should come next for the property, with details to be announced later.
Reports have suggested a possible three-star hotel, but this has not been officially confirmed by Soundarya.

And for fans wondering whether it will be Padayappa 2 — she has clarified that it is not Padayappa 2.
