Sivaji - Box Office Reports

Box office flash 26: Sivaji rock steady in Chennai at 9th week!! Date : 12/08/07    Even at the 9th week Our Boss is going steady at Chennai City theaters with full reserved special shows.  Boss in unshakeable in Chennai City.    Sivaji breaks the jinx

Sivaji has also broken the jinx that Sathyam CINEMAS is not our favorite theater.  After Maaveeran and Baba fiasco, SIVAJI has broken the myth in collections.  As you many of aware of that on last Friday August 10th, a couple of movies were released all over the state.  Despite the new movies no body can touch our Sivaji. Here we would like to give a scenario about the theaters. Released movies are : Pallikoodam, Arya, Rush Hour 3, En uyirunum melana and other dubbing english movies. All these movies are released in our Sivaji multiplexes only.  But this will not affect our Sivaji at any cost. Still Sivaji running at Devi Bala theater 4 shows. Kamala one show (noon) removed and Jackie Chan's Rush Hour replaced. Sharukhan Chakde movie released in SATHYAM for 2 shows and Sivaji has been shared with Sathyam 2 shows and Santham 2 shows. Sivaji still in Advance Booking Please note that still advance booking is going on in these theaters for Sivaji and tickets of many circles has been sold out till end of Wednesday 15th August. (This is a record!!).  You can get tickets completely for all shows only from Thursday.  Before that you can get only specific shows. Special shows even at 9th week Also we would like to tell you that SPECIAL shows are still continuing in this 9th week also (This is a record!!). This week Sivaji screening special show at 9:15 am in SREE theater for Saturday and Sunday.  Both the theaters are HOUSE FULL. Sivaji back in Kolathur Ganga with three shows While Ajith's Kireedom released, Sivaji was shifted to Yamuna – a small theatre in the same complex with three shows. But now Sivaji is back in Ganga, which is a big theatre again with three shows. (This is a record!!). Theatre management doesn't want to miss the bonus collections pouring in for Sivaji even in 9the week. Vellore update - Still in 3 theatre with higher rate   Still the film is running three theaters like: BALAJI, RAJA & VENUS.(This is a record!!) Also we have noted that throughout Vellore Sivaji 60th days posters were pasted. Also they have not reduced the ticket prices.  Still they are charging the rates Minimum and Maximum of Rs. 50 what they fixed during the release day.   Melody the worst affected

At the same time, we have to admit that a few theatres have been worse affected by crowd splitting. The first victim is Melody.  Since the movie is screened in 4 more theatres in the same belt. Albert, Devibala, Sathya, Inox – Melody is getting very less crowd. This week is the last week for Sivaji in Melody. Next week they are going to feature a Salman starrer.   If theatres are reduced to half in these areas, surely the film will go Houseful even after 100th day. Anyway Albert and Melody collections are just bonus for Sivaji.   Theatre occupancy rate in average for 4 shows at the starting of 9th week (Based on theatre circles and our sources:   Theatre Name                      Weekdays                            Weekends Sathyam                           80 – 100%                        100% Inox                                 85 – 100%                        100% Devi Bala                           95% - 100%                      100% Abirami                             75% - 90%                       100% Udhayam                          75% - 80%                       100% Kamala                             50% - 70%                       97% AVM Rajeswari                   70% - 80%                       100% Baarath                            75%                                95% Albert                              50% - 60%                       90-100% Melody                             40%                                85%   JUST IMAGINE WHAT WOULD BE THE RESULT IF JUST HALF OF THE THEATRES (Normal numbers of theatres) REMOVED IN THE ABOVE LIST!! - Sundar (with inputs from TVE Rajesh)
