Sivaji - International FDFS Theater Reports

Muscat

Hi All,

Sorry for the late report from muscat.

I Watched the movie on the second day of the release as the theatre is not encouraging advance booking and we peoples were living 200 kms away from the theatre where it released. The Theatre management issued special order that a person can carry only 6 tickets. during the time of booking one of our friend working in MUSCAT went to the theatre at 8:30 eventhough the bookings will start only after 9:30. there was a long queue for the second day booking. I heard from various peoples that the queue is the first time in oman for seeing the film and that too for booking.

Lot of House wifes turned to the theatre to watch the movies. they could see lot of office workers came to book the tickets wearing tie. I missed all those.

For the Record SHIVAJI is running Five Shows except on FRIDAY's.

We reached the theatre hall around 9:00 PM. We bought the tickets for 10:30 SHOW. When we asked the theatre guys they told the show would start not less than 11:15 as interval is just finished for the previous show. So we waited outside and getting reports from the other those who watched the earlier day.

Suddenly people started moving inside. with in few minutes we dont know from where the peoples joined the queue. even after the booking is made theatre management asked to form a queue as they have not mentioned the Seat Numbers in the ticket as they have not expected this much crowd. i could sense more than 300 standing in a line till 11:00. as time moves on the entire theatre is fully surrounded by the peoples. See the photos in the following link http://picasaweb.google.com/raviramabadran/Shivaji

Finally the Previous show ended at 11:20 and we could see lot of peoples coming and nodding the head like Motta Boss. lots of smile in their faces.

at 11:30 Night Queue started moving in. Took few minutes to settle in seats.
11:50 They Started showing the Ayngaran Logo. followed by the trailer of SULTAN THE WARRIOR. Full Silent. till they showed the name SHIVAJI, Lot of sounds from the fans even at 12:00 Mid night. several hey hey Sounds. lot of claps in the middle. Got various comments from the friends in the interval. Could sense lot of fans humming the songs with lot of claps. At the End every one trying to pretend like motta boss. The Show ended at 3:00 Early Morning.

I wish to see the movie the next day but my friends forced me and taken me with them. I came back to SOHAR with them the next day. the next Week i told all my friends who accompanied me the previous week that am going for a meeting. actually there was a meeting which i am supposed to attend. but i should have returned back on the same day but i haven't. On the next day myself and my another Friend Mr. Vijay planned to see Shivaji. He also watched the movie the previous week. we went there to the theatre assuming that there will be a show @ 1:30 PM. Unfortunately they reduced the shows from 5 to 3. so the show will start only at 3:15 PM. So we to Annapurna (OMAN EXPRESS Restaurant) to have our lunch. earlier our plans was to skip the lunch. Our another friend called and told us that he will also join. So we all reached the theatre @ 3:00 and got the tickets for the 3:15 Show. This time not much crowd but still there was some bookings going on for the evening and night shows.

In the Theatre i saw another friend Mr. Chandrasekar. He was told by one of my friend living in sohar (Mr. Mahadevan) that see around you will definitely find RAVI there. he was searching for me in the theatre. and finally he found me. we all enjoyed watching the movie.

It was a great experience for me as this is the first film am seeing abroad. That too standing in a big line.

I am planning to go to must this week end also if possible will watch the movie.

Cool Buddy......
Take Action Camera OFF....

Cheers
