A week before the release of Tamil period-drama Kochadaiiyaan, superstar Rajinikanth is expected to start shooting for his next film titled Lingaaa, which has been named after one of his grandsons. Lingaa is the second son of actor Dhanush and his wife Aishwarya, who is Rajinikanth's daughter.

Rajinikanth has earlier worked with ace filmmaker KS Ravikumar in his hit Tamil movies like Muthu (1995) and Padayappa (1999). For the time, the Superstar will collaborate the director in next film Lingaaa. A source from the film unit told, "The film has been titled Lingaa. If all goes well, we might start shooting from the first week of May. I can't reveal more details about the project at the moment."

Director KS Ravikumar shared a poster titled Lingaa on his official Facebook page on Tuesday. In the poster, actresses Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka Shetty and AR Rahman are featured with the superstar. Oscar-award-winning composer AR Rahman will compose the tunes for the film, which will be his seventh project with Rajinikanth.

Three and half years after the release of Endhiran, Rajinikanth is once again all set to strike the screens. His next outing Kochadaiiyaan, which is one of the most-talked about and highly-anticipated Tamil films, is scheduled to release in theatres across the globe on May 9, 2014. The promos of the film have garnered positive response. Now superstar is all excited to know the movie will be received by the viewers.
