As we already said, most of the fans and fan clubs this year have changed their mode of Superstar's birthday celebrations to social welfare mode.

Changed mode….

Sathyanarayana used to advise this mode of celebrations in the past many times. Now fans have started doing themselves this type without anybody's advice or directive – which is a very good sign.

Though we could see Milk Abhishekams here and there – hope they would also change soon.

What Vairamuthu said about two types of Bday celebrations…

In Kalaignar TV – Vairamuthu told that – there are two types of Bday celebration. One type is celebrating one's birthday on his own and no other is there to celebrate it. Another type is refraining from such own celebrations but others would be there to celebrate it. Superstar belongs to second category.

It is indeed a miracle which is possible by Superstar alone. He never celebrates his birthday on own or plans for that. But peoples around him do that. It is a rare phenomenon where one doesn't show interest in Bday celebrations but lakhs and lakhs of people are celebrating on behalf of him.

Birthday in Children Welfare Centre

LIC Unit of Rajinifans and Annanagar circle Rajini Fan clubs jointly celebrated Superstar's Birthday in Children Welfare Centre, Shenoynagar on 16/12/2007 Sunday evening. The centre is for abandoned street kids and orphan children. The centre nourishes, trains and educates around 60 children.

The fan clubs sought proper permission with the centre's director for the celebration. Birthday cake cutting and distribution and free meal marked the celebrations.

Children's chorus for Superstar

On the stipulated date the cake was first cut by the fan club bearers and the innocent children sung HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SUPERSTAR. It was very pleasing to hear the children's chorus. Later the cake was distributed.  (Check the link for photos….)

Enough, enough…

After that, free meal with variety rice and sweets were distributed to the kids. The children who have rare opportunity to taste this kind of food really enjoyed the food. And the organizers took care that each and every child there is satisfied and they were treated enough and enough. One could see the satisfaction with happiness in children's face. The name 'Rajinikanth' made this possible.

After some time the fan club members bought chocolates and biscuits on their own in the nearby shop and distributed them to the kids.

Nice time with kids

Later servant maids and others were distributed sweets and the fan club members had a nice time of chatting with the kids and posed photographs with them. Children showed Baba muthra well. The fan clubs thanked the centre director and others who made this possible. (Check the above link for photos….)

Smiles….

The two hours in the Sunday Evening was spent worthfully and it brought smiles for a few hours in the faces of those abondones children.

An assurance

We heard that local fan clubs have donated many utensils and furniture to the centre through thalapathy Sathyanaryana in the past.

LIC Unit of Rajini Fans has assured more and more help to the centre in future.

Sridhar, President of the LIC Unit Fan clubs and members and other office bearers including Selvam, Rajaram, Chandran, Manivannan, Arasu, Small Suresh, George, Lingam, RK, Selvaraj, Triplicane Kumar participated in the event and specialized it.

Annanagar fans clubs president Rajini Dilli, Srikanth, M.Palani, S.Palani, Thomas and others looked after the arrangements.
