Superstar Rajinikanth was praised veteran actress B.Sarojadevi for her acting skills and epitome of beauty.

Rajini was attended the annual day celebration of the Ashram School in Chennai on Tuesday. He honored the veteran actress in the function with Ashram award.

The annual day celebration of the Ashram, run by Latha Rajinikanth, was celebrated in a grand manner in which various cultural events were organized.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajinikanth said, "It was my unfilled desire to have acted with the beauty of all season Saroja Devi in my early days. I admire Saroja Devi a lot. Had I have been an actor in her era, I wonder whether I would have got an opportunity to act with her at a time when she was busy doing movies with veterans like MGR and Sivaji... She is a wonderful actress with rare skills...'

Actresses S.N Lakshmi and producer-director Muktha Srinivasan were among others honored in the event.

Among those who attended the event included veteran director S P Muthuraman, alumni of the Ashram School including Soundarya Rajinikanth, actor Nakul and Simbu.
