In
Telugu too Sivaji has created superb records.
Sivaji released in
356 theatres.
50
days - 207
theatres
75 days - 140 theatres
100 days - 13
theatres.
Due to the poor
handling and strategy of Bellam Konda suresh, the
movie was not advertised properly. But this itself
is a record while comparing to CM.
Chandramukhi
release in Telugu:
102 Prints - and
141 theatres.
Whereas Sivaji 250
Prints and 356 theatres.
Initially the movie
was screened doubles and triples in many theatres.

Chennai)
Now tell me, do you still have any doubts regarding Sivaji's Andhra Hit?
In Hyderabad
alone the movie was released in more than 40
theatres. And this is a record in Andhra.
What to be noted
is: Sources say that Bellam Konda Suresh who
bought the movie in Telugu for a record price for a
dubbing movie spoiled the movie's marketing by
reselling the movie he just wanted to make
immediate profit without thinking the promo of the
movie sold it again to distributors and exhibitors
and made a lump sum profit. (Appadiyae oru weightana
amountukku kai maathi vittutaar)
Despite very very
weak marketing and promotion Sivaji made it...
If Sivaji was promoted
and marketed well in Andhra, it would have set
further many records. The Telugu producer abandoned
the movie and there also movie ran purely on merit
and word of mouth. Ads almost disappeared after a
few weeks of release. But for Chandramukhi - it was
promoted well and advertisement was also superb.
Even Success Meet was held recently for a flop movie
there. But for Sivaji there was no success meet.
Despite all these odd points Sivaji was able to get
so many centres for 50, 75 and 100 days.
He was producer who
was shot by Balakrishna with revolver. Sources claim
that it was for a similar issue of spoiling
Balakrishna's hit movie's merit.
Pyramid Natarajan
bought the Nizam area in this deal. Pls check the
following link which speaks about this and also
Sivaji's super success in Telugu. Particularly
article's last lines.
